The Digital Skills Workshop Series, part of Alaska Startup Week 2020, will help entrepreneurs grow and strengthen their online presence and digital skills. This series is being organized by the University of Alaska Center for Economic Development, in partnership with the Anchorage Community Land Trust and Spruce Root.

First impressions matter and your business's online presence is the 'front door' location where your customer will most likely first interact with you. In the era of COVID-19, an up-to-date, accessible, and user-friendly online presence is more important than ever. This workshop will focus on the creation and cultivation of a meaningful online presence for your business or organization, including interactive activities and tips from expert digital strategist and 13-year Google employee, Melissa Moody.

In this session, you'll learn:
  •  Why a strong online presence matters in today's world, no matter your industry
  • How to conduct a self-audit (free!) of your digital presence
  • Key principles for your online presence

Melissa Moody is a passionate advocate for fast, frictionless experiences on the web and a trusted consultant in digital marketing strategy. Over a 13-year career at Google, she implemented multi-channel digital marketing strategy, led market analysis, and managed global product education programs.
