Techstars Startup Week Alaska 2020

The Digital Skills Workshop Series - part of Alaska Startup Week 2020 - will help entrepreneurs grow and strengthen their online presence and digital skills. This series is being organized by the University of Alaska Center for Economic Development, in partnership with the Anchorage Community Land Trust and Spruce Root.

2020 has been a tumultuous year. A global pandemic, economic recession, shutdown orders, a nation-wide racial reckoning, a contentious national election, and devastating impacts from climate change are all looming large. In this panel discussion, we'll hear from some standout Alaska business owners with strong social media presences who have all navigated the current moment in their own ways. What worked and what didn't? How did they get creative in 2020? How did they know what their customers found most engaging? Most of all, we'll hear how they rode the waves of change to stay strong in their business values and connect with their customers and community online.
